A Note to Everyone...
Thank you, everyone, for all the kind and supportive comments you left on my last journal. They really helped a lot... I wanted to reply to each of you individually, but, well, I really don't know what to say anymore. I've just been very exhausted since it happened...

Memorial WoE (iRO Chaos)...
With the help of some great friends, I was able to hold a tributary WoE on RO for Nickers on Saturday, June 14th. (Basically, a bunch of guilds flew the emblem I made for Nickers! My memorial guild also got two castles in honor of him, thanks to some awesome breakers!) It went really well, and so many people participated! Afterwards, I asked everyone who joined in on iRO Chaos to meet in Al De for a big screenshot.

It was really awesome! So many people made shout-outs to Nickers! I printed out this screenshot and sent it to his family, but not before covering the entire page with post-it notes of quotes each person said! My favorite had to be from Vince Jadefrost, who threatened God to make sure he treats Nickers well. ;D

I also sent a stack of screenshots of me and Nickers to his family, each with its own note telling the story behind a particular screenshot! I hope they enjoy those dumb little stories as much as I do...

Several guildies sent letters to me to forward to them as well. =] I love those guys so much! Thank you!

His grandma was also kind enough to take a picture of the flowers I sent Nickers!

Look! It's Li'l Chiru! He used to take her to the hospital with him for a while. I hope they take good care of her.

Commissions and CGA Webcomic
This may sound a bit silly, but I want to write a story/webcomic that parallels the last three and a half years I spent with him. It'll star Chiru and Nickers. Every significant person we've come into contact with during that time will play a role corresponding to how I perceived them. Heh, I already started designing Nickers and Chiru. I decided to throw on some colors yesterday:

...I swear, every time I draw Chiru, she looks like a starving orphan girl with a deformed face. Definitely gotta work on that...

Anyway! This isn't something I can do overnight. I need money and (above all) practice! I've gotta do this right... So, I wanna start taking commissions again to raise the funds needed to start the site. I'll reopen them after I finish my last commission (x.x Sorry for taking so long... Things have been kinda tough this year, heh... D: )and another project I had. Commissions this time around won't take me so long anymore, though, because... well, I really have nothing to do without him. I guess all my free time will be devoted to drawing now...

So, please keep an eye out in the next week or so for commissions! And if you have any advice about webcomics, it's more than welcome. x.x Thanks, guys.

If you don't like long journal entries, you might wanna skip over this one. I'm only posting it for myself... to get my thoughts straight.

I'm sure you all have noticed my constant references and gifts to ~NikorasuFuku, or Nickers. He was really my absolute best friend in the whole wide world. We spent just about everyday together; I'd come home from school, and he'd always be there on MSN to greet me with an insult and a smile. But, well, you'll notice that I'm speaking of him in the past tense...

In November of 2005, he was diagnosed with cancer. We got through it the first time, but it eventually came back. We went on spending our time together like we always did! Leveling, loitering, mocking each other, talking forever about nothing. Everyday was amazing, and I felt like the luckiest person in the world!

Unfortunately, good things don't last forever. He was really sick for the past several weeks. Too sick to come online. I texted him everyday, and he always texted back. As time went on, the replies came less frequently, but they still came.

I didn't hear from him for a couple days. I got worried, but sometimes he would skip a day before replying, so I pushed any bad thoughts aside. Yesterday, right after I got home from the SATs, I texted him. In a couple minutes, my phone's screen lit up! I was so relieved! I thought 'Oh no, he's gonna make fun of me for being so worried!' and with a smirk, I checked the message: 'Nic passed.' My heart stopped, and I just started crying. I haven't stopped since.

It feels like I lost everything I ever had in that one moment. And now I don't know what to do. I invested all of my happiness in him, and I came to expect that he'd always be there. I imagined that when we got older... well, who knows? Our futures always seemed so bright together, but now, I don't know. Everything seems so dark, and I realize how truly alone I am without him. He was my better half. Now who will greet me everyday? Now who will call me a loser and a punk and a piglet and a hibernating bear and an antelope? Now who will make me laugh? Now who will I make laugh? Now who will make everyday a day worth remembering?

Looking back, I know I could've done more. I should've done more. But instead, I left his fate in the hands of doctors - people who could care less whether he lived or...

And I'll always regret never telling him how much he meant to me. How much I love him. I can only hope that maybe he knew... But I'll never know if he felt the same way... So, to anyone and everyone reading this, be sure to hold on to those you love and never let them go. Life is only a brief moment in time, and it's up to us to decide whether or not that moment has meaning.

His moment meant the world to all those who were lucky enough to share it with him. I'm so thankful that I was blessed with the privilege of sharing that time with him.

And so, Nickers, you will always be remembered dearly by all those whose lives you graced. Me especially... Thank you for everything that you've given me, every minute we spent together. I'll always miss you... I'll always love you.

Spring is here, and you know what that means: spring break! My break starts today, so I'll finally have some time to browse DA like before. (Ahaha, 274 deviations and 548 messages...) I'm definitely gonna spend the first few days finishing up those long-overdue commissions. >.< The remainder of the week is most likely going to be spent playing Brawl.

Speaking of which! Brawl isn't amazing. It's better than amazing! I really loved seeing all the character relationships in SSE. (Diddy, Fox and Falco make an entertaining team.) And Kirby saves the day... multiple times! It's really nice seeing someone other than Mario in the hero's spotlight.

~Kiaryi (Fox), my sister (Kirby), and I (Zelda) also entered GameStop's midnight release tourney. Sadly, I failed at the semi-finals of my division because of a stupid fluke (I didn't know the stage would flip, and I had no idea where the Specials button was on the Wiimote+Nunchuck scheme so I couldn't recover from falling. >_>;; ) My sister, however, got to the finals of both divisions! She failed, though. If I won my division, it would've been me versus my sister in an epic final match!

On the bright side, though, it was really funny watching my sister - hair styled with curls and cute hairclip, wearing a pretty coat and fluffy white boots - beat up a bunch of manly guys in hoodies. ;D And the whole event itself was really fun too!

Welp, it's been a while since I last posted! I hope you all had a great holiday! I know I did. ;D I got Mario Galaxy (<3!!), Super Paper Mario, Metroid Prime 3, Phantom Hourglass, FFXII: Revenant Wings, Sonic Rush Adventure, a digital camera, and a sweater!

Ironically, I ended up spending most of my time playing Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door with my sister. I don't know why I never finished that game; it was so much fun! Although, it was incredibly disappointing to play Super Paper Mario afterwards because it's so... different. D: I feel betrayed!

...And yes, those are my characters cosplaying as Mario's friends. Okay, so maybe Doopliss wasn't his friend, but with a name like that, how could I not include him?!

Also! It seems I've been featured here as a young, talented artist! Didn't expect something like that, so it was a really nice feeling coming into the new year! Thank you, *KristinaGehrmann! ^^

It's pretty funny, though - the picture featured is one a drew when I was 15, not 17! xD

12 days until Christmas! Oh, how the time flies when you're having fun... or rotting away in school. Our break starts the Friday before Christmas, so I doubt I'll have time to come up with a Christmas picture. Hell, I still haven't even posted that Halloween picture!

Actually, I plan on using the time before Christmas to try and finish some of those commissions I owe. I really wanna get them all done before my break starts 'cause I know I'll be too preoccupied with traveling through galaxies, sailing across vast seas, and embarking on various other journeys in front of my awesome new flat screen TV. (Okay, maybe not the TV... But I can dream, can't I?) Unfortunately, I have a feeling something's gonna get in the way like last time! (Wasted my entire Thanksgiving break and one school day in bed with a constant 100+ fever! D:< ) So, I apologize for the extra long wait.

And I'm temporarily closing commissions for that reason.

On a completely unrelated note, did you guys know that the voice actor for Ed sang an English version of the song 'Brothers'? I didn't. Glad I found out, though; as much as I like the Russian version, his voice is much more charming. It's a pity that Al's voice actor didn't want to sing too (it's supposed to be a duet).

Warning: This journal may or may not be interesting to some of you. For those of you who are less RO obsessed and more Nintendo-happy, here are two links that I thought were the coolest things in the world last week. Enjoy!

A couple days ago, ~Kiaryi found a neat little guide to installing and setting up kRO2. So, after an entire day of waiting, complaining, and making various threats against the Korean language, ~Kiaryi, ~NikorasuFuku, =TalizmynVox and I finally got a taste of RO2. And it is completely awesome. The characters are so adorable and it's easy to get the hang of. Plus it's got tons of amusing emotes.

You can guess that I took lots of screenshots of our little ventures. If you hate long family vacation slideshow presentations, I suggest closing this window right now and never coming back.

Being the brave girl that I am, I ventured to finish Twilight Princess last weekend.

Yeah, okay, so maybe I cried at the end. But that doesn't make me any less of a man, damn it! In all seriousness, though, it really was an amazing game. I couldn't have asked for a better ending, even if it made me sad. Now I really wanna draw some fanart that actually does the game justice. (Unlike that chibi picture I did before I even played the game.) And I definitely want to revisit OoT and MM.

I still have to finish that Halloween RO pic. I didn't have time to this week. Or maybe it was because I procrastinated too much. I forget which.

So, on a related note, Happy _late Halloween, everyone! What'd you all do? ~Kiaryi and I went trick-or-treating with my sister (if you think 17-year-olds going is bad, she's 22!). It was a lot of fun, though, and we got some good candy!

Although, I was a bit jealous of the younger kids and their awesome costumes; back in my day, child costumes were all crappy and lame.

Speaking of 'crappy and lame', Flash8 sucks and keeps lagging/freezing when I try to draw those headers. Does anyone know of a good, reliable Flash version?

I wanna be a virtual punching bag!

For some reason, the thought of feeling the massive pummeling from games in real life is kind of amusing. That's probably not a good sign.

So yeah, fall break's already over. Lame! But at least I got to play some Twilight Princess! I still haven't beaten it, but I think I will next weekend. I don't want it to be over yet, though! If it were up to me, poor Link would be stuck saving the world every day of the year.

I also sat down and drew! Of course, I had to sacrifice the Brawl/Halloween RO pic to make time for Twilight Princess, but it's all good. I did, however, finish !Brockiepoo15's commission, though, and that's all that really matters. I'm going to send it tomorrow since it's 3 AM and I need sleep. Thanks for being so patient!

Oh, and it looks like there's a new Picto feature in Brawl. I only skimmed the post, but from the looks of it, you get to draw your own DS Paintchat-style stages! If that's the case, then prepare to meet your doom... in Champtopia!

...If you're wondering what's with the old header, it's because Flash8 sucks and will never amount to anything! Plus, it's laggy.

Edit: ~supersmasher025 and ~Kiaryi have informed my that the Picto stage in Brawl is already a preset kind of thing. Which is lame! (Okay, not really. That's still very awesome.)

Ah, so much for my dreams of owning people in Champtopia. Maybe someday...

I'm sure by now everyone's heard that Sonic's going to be in Brawl. To be honest, when I first heard the rumor, I didn't think I'd be as happy as I am now if it was confirmed. But after seeing how nice he looks, how fun his gameplay is, and the return of his old, un-lame shoes, I'm really excited! Maybe this'll restore some respect and dignity to Sonic's name! <3

I'm guessing they'll also have Tails as a secret character (and possibly Knuckles?). It'd be great to see the little guy in a good game again! Especially after all those crappy games that completely screwed up his image. D:

But yeah, even though Brawl's delayed, it looks like it's gonna be more than worth it! ~Kiaryi and I already pre-ordered it at GameStop. >D I can't wait to try out Diddy (Dixie?), Pit, Sonic (Tails?), Meta Knight, Ike, and Pokemon Trainer! Muahaha, anyone up for an online match with us?

One last thing, my fall break starts next Wednesday, so I will definitely finish your commission, !Brockiepoo15, on the terms that if I don't, you'll have every right to track me down and kick me in the face multiple times. My scanner sucks, but if you squint hard enough, you can tell that it's Link sitting by something that vaguely resembles a tree! Maybe I'll finish it someday.


I was practicing perspective. I don't usually draw emo, rainy scenes with the primary focus being feet! I swear!

Yeah, so, you know those big storms that hit the midwest a little while ago? They flooded my basement. Yay! Usually, we only flood maybe a couple inches, tops! But this time, we got like a foot of water. D: Luckily, my dad came home before the flooding got bad and let my cat and dog upstairs (I probably wouldn't have checked for a while /swt). I even saw a firetruck plow through our street with a searchlight in the water!

To make things short, all the stuff plugged in down there short circuited. That means I'm scannerless. :3 So much for scanning the commission sketches, summer vacation drawings, and another sketch I wanted to work on. Sorry, but it looks like I'll be out of commission until they get it installed and set up on one of the other computers.

So anyway, school sucks. o_o Well, not really. But basically I just come home, eat, take a nap, wake up, do homework, and go to sleep. I haven't even had time to reply to ~DeviRyuu's Wii messages! (Or maybe it's because he gets to use his handy-dandy keyboard, while I'm stuck with that dinky little Wiimote! D: Damn you!)

That's right! The hero returns! ...No, not me (even though I'm the one controlling the hero!). Link! Monday was my birthday and I finally got a Wii! So, I've been pretty obsessed with Twilight Princess lately. I never thought swinging the Wiimote and Nunchuck around would be that much fun. >.>; The game's story is great too, so far. ;D Although, it's kind of depressing to think that the Link we all know and love from OoT and Majora's Mask is long dead at Twilight Princess's time. He was my favorite Link of all! @_@

Edit!!
~Kiaryi told me an interesting theory that makes perfect sense (to me, at least) about OoT Link/Epona and Twilight Princess Link/Epona! Looks like when Link and Epona stumbled into the Majora's Mask dimension and screwed around with time, the timeflow in Hyrule's dimension kept going forward. In the time it took him to find his way back to the dimension (and probably more adventures requiring the Song of Time), a good amount of time had already passed in Hyrule. With all his relations severed and all the dramatic changes to his homeland, all he could really do was find a small village to live out the rest of his life. That explains why Link and Epona are named the same as the orignals! Link's blue eyes, pierced ears, and personality are all the same as well. Also, when he changes to his old green getup, you notice that he isn't like... 'What the hell?!' His expression is more nostalgic. ;D

...Wow. I sound nerdy. o_o

(Oh, and I'm only at the Goron Mines, so NO SPOILERS, PLEASE! D:)

I also got a new tablet that actually has working pen pressure! It's really nice, but I can't stand its spazzy attitude when scrolling in RO (every time I scroll, the cursor dashes to the right side of my screen!) Does anyone know how to fix that?

I don't wanna make this journal too long, so I'll skip the apologies for my absence and get straight to the whining: School starts tomorrow! D: Summer flew by so fast! Aha, I think I recall me saying I would submit more over the summer. Lies! All of it! Although, I did actually draw a lot while waiting for parties on RO. I think I'll submit the sketches later as the last art of my sweet 16.

Yeah, apparently, playing too many video games is considered a real medical problem now. o_o Doctors want to start treatment programs to help kids overcome their addiction. Or maybe they just wanna snatch a couple thousand bucks off of some gullible parents. I forget which. :3 Either way, I'm ready to wet my beak with a little 'therapeutic' paddling treatment. >;D

Speaking of treatments, I decided to redirect my commission funds to help a friend pay for some herbal supplements and vitamins to improve his medical condition. Some of that stuff is pretty expensive... One item costs $80, heh. >_>;; So, I raised my commission prices in hopes of scraping up a little extra. Unfortunately, Driver's Ed. kind of leaves me busy with homework. We have to do at least 75 problems for homework, which are due on test days (every other day). I'm really sorry for being so inactive, and I'm sorry if that causes a delay in your commissions. It'll be over July 5th, though, so I'll have a lot of time to check DA, submit things, and finish commissions. Summer vacation is supposed to be relaxing, damn it!

So! Nickers somehow convinced me to watch Dawn of the Dead with him the other night. HORRIBLE. @_@; All those zombies...! And he kept laughing at my 'Omg, omg, omg! @_@ AHHH!'s! D: At least I got a good dose of happy-movie before that: ~Kiaryi and another friend of ours went to see Shrek the Third. ;D Thank god there were no zombies in that!

I've been pretty busy for the past few weeks. My sister graduated last week, so I had to go to Chicago (the Grand Lux Cafe's dessert is awesome. ) And I also got distracted by NutrinoPets (had to report an art theft, then decided to stick around for a few days). The people there are really nice. :3 Although, I already lost interest in it, so once I finish a couple doodles for some people, I think I'm gonna leave. D: It was fun while it lasted.

Welp, off to finish a health project. Less than three weeks till freedom! Yay!

Woah, it's been exactly one month since I've updated my journal! @@; So much work to do lately. Darn education! Usually, school work slows down after every 6 weeks, but this time, my English teacher decided that we needed to do speeches. He gave us one week to do it... Well, actually, he only gave us our approved outlines the day before we were supposed to start presenting. Although, our class convinced him that it wasn't enough time to put together a speech and a visual aid, so he extended it for a day. Better than nothing.

Other than that, nothing really happened over the month. Well, besides some drugged up teenager running a stop sign in front of my dad, which resulted in his semi (and the kid's pickup) being totalled. My dad's okay, though, and so is the kid, thanks to my dad's handy driving (he managed to steer the semi enough to only run over the passenger side and back of the kid's car- not the driver's seat). To anyone who doesn't believe the health book when it says drinking and driving is bad... well, there ya go. :3

So, that's about it for my ranting. Time to go watch some TV.

So, I was watching that one show on Fox, Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?... They went through three whole contestants, none of which are smarter than a fifth grader. @@ I would've failed too, but at least I knew some answers! e.e My dad knew a lot more than me, though. Even the US-related ones! And he didn't even live in this country when he was a fifth grader. D: So much for my 3.8 GPA. e.e;

Anyway, spring break has been kinda bland so far. My internet was being weird earlier this week, so that ruined any chance of leveling on RO. And now that it's okay again, my leveling partner ditched me. Psh! O_O Oh well, at least I got some time to work on drawings. I'm working on something else too (something non-chibi! It's a miracle!), so maybe I'll submit that before the end of my break.

School caught up with me yet again! (Hence the inactiveness.) History, math, and chemistry tests, creative writing assignments (she usually doesn't give us homework, but this week was a little more busy D: ), and reading! Had to finish Huckleberry Finn last week (<3 SparkNotes >_> ) and A Separate Peace this week.

Huck Finn was kinda boring to read, even if it's an interesting story. But, damn it, Jim needs his own translator or something! @@; A Separate Peace is pretty good, though, but I can't stand the main character, and I don't wanna finish the book because I know what happens at the end. D: We're watching the movie of it now too- Movie Finny does not look like the Finny in the book! e.e;! Movie Finny is blonde, ugly, and seems to have a bad case of ADHD. >.>

~Kiaryi and I went to see The Music Man at our school last Friday, if that explains the journal name and header. xD; It was pretty good, and I really liked the lead girl's singing! But some parts were quiet and hard to understand. Oh well! I liked it anyway. ;D

Thanks to ~NikorasuFuku, I still have a header! The little freak noticed that my subscription was ending soon, so he bought me another whole year. Thanks, jerk! x3

Anyway, I'll try to comment on recent stuff you guys submitted and journals. Also, I just realized that I hit 10k pageviews! So, thanks to everyone who comments on my things, visits my page, and favorites my stuff. :3 I really appreciate it!

I gotta submit more often. Planning on drawing this weekend (hopefully, I'll finally finish those commissions!), and spring break's coming up soon, so expect to hear from me then. ;D

And speaking of commissions, I'm gonna update my commissions page. I wanted to add a new rule (starting on drawings after I get payment) and raise my additional characters price a bit. So, be sure to check up on that if you plan on commissioning me or something.
